Tribute podcast to Kenya’s legendary writer and editor Philip Ochieng’

This is a  tribute to Mr. Philip Ochieng the legendary writer, editor and  towering public intellectual who passed on recently.

 In the course of this program you will hear from those who knew and worked with Mr. Ochieng over the years. SALIM LONE a Kenyan journalist and Ochieng’s contemporary who  currently lives in America travelled a career path almost similar to Ochieng’s. JOSEPH ODINDO and EMAN OMARI  are senior editors who learnt the craft from Phillip Ochieng. 

DR. NAIM BILAL the current managing director of KBC takes pride in having learnt journalism under the tutelage of Philip Ochieng.

LIZ GITONGA had the privilege as a young journalist to  be picked by Philip Ochieng to write his biography While and Mr Paul Kelemba; Kenya’s best editorial cartoonist whose copy always went through Ochieng’s hand before going to press.
